XSL transformation

XML ValidatorBuddy provides easy XSL transformation also from the Windows File Explorer. All you need is to select the file(s) for transformation and to specify the XSL stylesheet with the "XSL Transformation..." command from the TortoiseXML shell context menu.

 

Only the selection of the stylesheet is necessary, everything else is optinal. This allows also people with no deeper knowledge about XML and XML parsers to do XSL transformations on their own.

XSL transformation support in XML ValidatorBuddy uses the free AltovaXML parser. AltovaXML is a powerful XSLT 2.0 and schema-aware processor and because it is available for free it is also the best choice to run XSL transformations.

This means in order to do XSL transformations with XML ValidatorBuddy you need to install the AltovaXML parser and the component must be registered as COM server. If the installer didn't register AltovaXML for you, you just need to follow the simple steps described at Register AltovaXML to do so.
